I can’t find much on this, only thing is….
Members of the Lake Geneva City Council unanimously approved, April 28, to repeal an ordinance which prohibits PFR from living within 2,000 feet of a child safety zone, because the ordinance is considered unconstitutional by federal law.
I want to know how they came to that conclusion!?!? I also live 10 miles from lake Geneva!
Would very much be interested to know which federal law drove this to the level of being unconstitutional. If that’s truly the situation, then this has wide-ranging implications and reach to be able to be used in other situations that are considering restrictions such as this, Longmont, Colorado.
Maybe Adele out there in Illinois and Wisconsin would know?
This is due to a lawsuit brought against Pleasant Prairie which was decided in 2017.

Milwaukee has also repealed their restrictions, mostly, as have a few other municipalities.
